Developer Shiro Games announced that the second major update for Farever is releasing on September 30. The upcoming update not only enhances the endgame content for this online multiplayer action RPG but also the multiplayer experience.
One of the new features being added to the game is the Heroic Mode. This new instance difficulty option introduces tougher enemies to existing dungeons along with altered boss mechanics. Those who can survive Heroic Mode can get the chance to obtain better loot and rewards. There are also dedicated achievements available for completionists along with Medals of Glory. Finally, a new currency is offered for exclusive rewards.
Endgame-ready players can challenge themselves with Heroic Mode and with it loot new and powerful Epic-tier gear. They can infuse their gear with faction-themed bonuses to further expand build variety and combat options.

In addition to Heroic Mode and new gear options, the upcoming update also brings with it a wealth of new social and quality-of-life changes. These include:
- Improved group rewards and loot.
- New Friend and Ignore lists and additional Chat Channels.
- Player inspection mechanic and other options.
- Allies can now be revived during boss battles.
- New emotes, compass, and group HUD.
- Reworked Rogue talent tree.
- Numerous balance and bug fixes.
In a statement, Game Director Quentin Lapeyre shared that the new update is all about improving the endgame experience while at the same time strengthening social interactions. He added that they're excited for players to take on the new Heroic Mode.
Farever is set in a vast high-fantasy open world of Siagarta. This online multiplayer action RPG introduces players to a colorful and evolving world of adventure, discovery, and danger. The journey unfolds across sprawling regions filled with dungeons, hidden wonders, and rewarding secrets. Players can take on the adventure solo or alongside others as they climb towering cliffs, glide across the skies, dive into underground caves, and uncover powerful gear to shape their legends.
Farever is available now in Early Access on PC via Steam for $19.99. During this phase, four unique classes are being made available which cover tank, support, and damage roles. There's also a flexible system of weapons, abilities, and talents, that should allow for deep build customization and let players define their playstyle and adapt to dynamic combat encounters with formidable enemies.
