Sin Slayers: Reign of the 8th Returning to Steam Later this Year

Developer goonswarm announced that Sin Slayers: Reign of the 8th is all set to make its return to Steam. There's no actual date but it's expected to come out in the fourth quarter of this year.

Sin Slayers: Reign of the 8th is a gritty and dark RPG where players get to enter a world that's shrouded in darkness while at the same time teeming with monstrous challenges. It's a world where the choices they make dictate the fate not only of the party but also the world. Anyway, once the game is available again on Steam, it's going to offer more content along with different improvements. These include facing new threats from an an unexpected region. There's also the revised game flow and balance which means that there's no longer any need to finish each region twice. Of course, there are the different optimizations and improvements that result in faster startup and smoother gameplay.

The studio also shared in a post that they'll be compensating all those who bought the original game with a free game key of the new and improved version.

Atoning the Sins

In the game, the game asks the question of whether you'll still do the right thing even if everything around has succumbed to madness. It has what's known as the Sinometer where the more sinful actions you perform across your run, the more riches you can recover. Just remember that the world eventually notices, and it can release increasingly horrendous creatures in your path until none other than the Sin Lord himself emerges.

Everyone comes with burdens that lures them into this madness whether they're knights, witches, rouges, and even nuns. Build up the team and be sure to gear up and even train them.

Defeating the Sin Lords

While each enemy is a manifestation of Evil, all of them have their weaknesses. That means repeatedly facing the same monsters allows you to learn more about them and the ways to exploit those weaknesses. Use that knowledge to your advantage and face the ultimate challenge of Sin Lords, who are walking manifestation of Cardinal Sins.
