Solo Leveling: ARISE is Coming to Steam in 2025

It was back in May 2024 when Solo Leveling: ARISE was released on mobile platforms. However, players on the PC finally get the chance to meet Sung Jinwoo and experience his abilities. That's because the game is launching on Steam in 2025.

The game is based on the webtoon series Solo Leveling. It is set in a world where humanity fights against the threats coming from what’s known as dimension gates. Leading the fight are talented individuals known as the “Hunters.”

Time to Level Up

The story begins with Sung Jinwoo, who is an E-Rank hunter, the lowest possible rank. He joins a party who enters what should be a D-Rank gate. However, things take a turn for the worst as there’s actually a “Double Dungeon” hidden inside this low-level gate. Jinwoo is able to narrowly survive and awakens with new rare abilities. In particular, he learns that he has the ability to “level up” by defeating monsters and completing quests.

What makes the game a treat for fans is that it is able to reproduce the original webtoon series in a faithful manner by offering immersive storytelling and fast-paced gameplay. It also features action RPG mechanics along with dynamic combat.

Like the webtoon, players are able to extract the shadows of enemies that they've defeated and then have them fight on their side. With this, they can form their very own Army of Shadows. One thing to remember though is to come up with unique strategies to defeat the magic beasts in each dungeon.

Meet Other Hunters

Aside from Sung Jinwoo, the game also features other beloved hunters in the webtoon series like Cha Haein and Yoo Jinho. Players can look forward to mastering the abilities of each hunter and combining their powers to clear each gate. Updates released for the mobile version have since added even more heroes.
