Soulstonia is Coming Soon to Steam

Pre-Alpha Gameplay with developer commentary released.

Gabriel's Games announced that its upcoming cozy idle RPG simulation is coming soon to the PC via Steam. Soulstonia is a game where players take control of Summoners.

Players can have these Summoners form a party and head over to an adventure. They can also leave them to their own devices. When they're left to themselves, Summoners can explore nearby areas, gather resources, and even train skills. They can also find things to do based on their abilities and surroundings.

In the game, each new save results in a different Soulstonia across five regions, which change where settlements, roads, resources, enemies, and points of interest appear. As the story moves forward, players slowly uncover the world through fog of war, discovering new locations, resources, threats, and opportunities along the way. The game features a world that has a life of its own. These include changing weather, roaming enemies, shifting resources, and even world events, among others. Each of these can disrupt the plans of the party and give players new reasons to change course.

Soulstonia features at least 20 combat, collection, and crafting skills that let players specialize individual Summoners through activities ranging from Woodcutting, Fishing, and Thieving to Smithing, Magic, and Summoning. Meanwhile, collected Soulstones allow Summoners to summon creatures that can fight and gather resources alongside them.

In a statement, Gabriel's Games founder and Soulstonia developer Gabriel Langlois revealed that he always wanted to create an RPG where the character doesn't just stand around waiting for the players. In the game, players can take control of the Summoners whenever they want. However, when left alone, they'll continue to train, gather, and make progress.
