Square Enix announced that the officially licensed SQUARE ENIX Cafe & Shop Los Angeles is now open. It offers fans an immersive dining and shopping experience that's inspired by beloved Square Enix titles.
Prior to the grand opening, there was a two-week soft opening period. With this grand opening, fans can now enjoy an even wider selection of themed drinks, entrées and desserts. All of which are inspired by popular Square Enix like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and NieR:Automata.
For now, walk-in dining is not yet available. Those who want to have the Square Enix experience can reserve a spot through the cafe's website here.
Merch Shop
Aside from the cafe experience, guests can visit the adjoining merchandise shop without the need for a reservation. The shop offers a wide selection of official Square Enix merchandise. These include Square Enix Official Shop exclusive items like the L.A. Chocobo T-Shirt and L.A. Slime T-Shirt which features commemorative artwork created to celebrate the first-ever permanent Square Enix Cafe & Shop location in the U.S.
Enjoy the Mural
Aside from what's already mentioned, there's also the 120’ x 20’ mural which adorns the exterior wall of the Cafe & Shop. The artwork depicts Chocobo and Slime, iconic characters that represent two of the studio's flagship franchises, which are the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series.
The mural was specially designed by Square Enix for this particular installation. It was brought to life by Los Angeles-based graffiti artist Yoshi (MR44 / @44ism). Surrounding the character artwork is Yoshi's signature graffiti style which seamlessly blends his distinctive artistic vision with the world of Square Enix.
