Deseret Games announced that they've launched a Kickstarter campaign forAegis Force: The Scorian War. The crowdfunding campaign invites players to join the studio in the development journey and help bring their vision for a story-driven and turn-based tactical RPG to life.
The campaign officially started February 1 and as of this article, has already exceeded the original goal of $2,500. There are now 145 backers with pledges amounting to $5,464. The smallest tier that comes with rewards is $5 and brings with it a digital wallpaper and the name being listed as a backer. The highest tier is $500 and includes a lot of cool items that include, among others, exclusive beta access and being able to design an NPC and also an enemy type.
Talking about the campaign, Deseret Games founder Christian Smith shared in a statement that they've always wanted to develop this title and through Kickstarter, allow them to reach the development goals. He went on to say that this also gives fans the "chance to help shape the vision" of what this game should become.

Aegis Force: The Scorian War is a turn-based tactical RPG that's inspired by various classics in the genre that include Shining Force, Fire Emblem, and Final Fantasy Tactics. Players follow the main protagonists, Callon Roth and Orvus Magnaric, as they fight as heroic soldiers in the Genuan army during the long-lasting and embittering Scorian War.
The game is able to capture the essence of genre-defining pixel art JRPG classics with the use of colorful pixel art. It offers turn-based strategic combat and combines with full world and town exploration. The game also offers a character-driven morally complex story and puts players in an intricately detailed world with secrets to discover.
