Studio Wildcard provided an update of Extra Life 2026. This is an annual event where the player community of ARK: Survival Ascended come together and raise money for charity.
This year's event is the twelfth one and in a post, the studio revealed that more than $1.2 million has been raised. This is all thanks to the generosity of the ARK community. The studio went on to say that this has been a tradition that they're proud to share with everyone and it's for the benefit of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
For this year in particular, there were two objectives. The first was to help raise funds to help children get the care that they needed. The second was to unlock something special in ARK: Survival Ascended. So for every $40,000 raised, it results in a TLC for a classic creature being unlocked, for up to four in total.
By the way, all donations to Team Wildcard go directly to UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. The hospital provides expert care across more than 20 pediatric specialties and is home to the UF Health Shands Pediatric ER, the community’s first dedicated children’s emergency department.
How to Vote
Players who donate to anyone on the Studio Wildcard Extra Life Team, not just Studio Wildcard directly, should include a message with their chosen creature’s full first name preceded by a hashtag like #Giganotosaurus for example. If no hashtag vote is included in the donation message, the donation still counts towards the TLC total through it won’t advance any particular dino’s voting tally.
For each $1 donated, a dino gets 1 vote. Meanwhile, a $50 donation for a particular dino results in 50 votes for that dino. Five $10 donations alos gets the same 50 votes.
