Studio Releases Final Update for Paleo Pines

The update serves to honor those who backed the Kickstarter campaign.

Italic Pig launched the second and final major update for Paleo Pines. It brings with it new content along with massive quality-of-life updates. These include the highly anticipated features chosen by the community like, among others, advanced dinosaur tracking, expanded ranch customization, and even helpful new dinosaur behaviors.

In a statement, the team over at Italic Pig revealed that this final update is to honor the Kickstarter backers along with being able to fulfill the ultimate wishlist of the community.

Dino Tracking

One of the interesting features introduced with the new update is what can be described as the ultimate when it comes to dino tracking. In particular, it adds the dinosaur "skin tracker" to the journal. With this, players should be able to track specific color combinations. That means the next time a dinosaur of that rarity spawns, players are guaranteed that it's the one they are looking for.

In addition, Mari’s dinosaur records now has a search box and rarity filtering feature. There's also the new option that lets players permanently erase a dinosaur from the archives.

Expanded Customization

The update introduces players to a poignant new Memorial Garden area and new carvings to Dapplewood. There's also now a way to spruce up their ranch with a Stegosaurus plushie, Postosuchus statue, a fossil wall, and vibrant new Rainbow and Selkie ranch house colors.

Other Additions

The new update for Paleo Pines also adds other interesting changes. Saddlebags for example allow large dinos to carry 2 to 4 items. Meanwhile, small dinos should be able to carry two items to the ranch from anywhere.

Another change is the automated foraging. What this means is small dinos now automatically collect nearby wild collectables and then carry them for the player.

When it comes to ranch maintenance, players can now assign small dinos to composters and pick up poop automatically. Clearers can also now clear poop from the ranch.

Paleo Pines invites players to a charming island that's known for its friendly dinosaurs, quirky townsfolk, and a mysterious past. It's a world where evolution took a different path resulting in humans and dinosaurs living together in harmony. Get the game on Steam now.
