Studio Releases New Trailer for CONTROL Resonant

The trailer gives us a peek at what to expect from the game.

Remedy Entertainment released a new trailer for its upcoming title CONTROL Resonant. The Paranatural Manhattan trailer offers a closer look at the different surreal and diverse locations that the players get to explore in the game.

The Paranatural Manhattan trailer shows us a familiar character from the first CONTROL game. It's none other than Emily Pope. She makes a return though in a slightly different role than the previous title. It has been seven years since the Federal Bureau of Control established the lockdown in the Oldest House. There's no question that a lot has changed in that time. What does remain constant though is Pope's enthusiasm when it comes to everything strange and unexplained.

Aside from seeing Pope, the Paranatural Manhattan trailer shows just how visually diverse are the environments in the game. Each biome that players get to explore offers a unique gameplay experience. They can be below the ground or above it. Players may even step into dimensions previously unexplored.

The world is alive and it's rich with engaging story missions and side-quests for players to take on. There's also going to be head-scratching puzzles and even dynamic and breathtaking boss fights. While most of the game does take place outside, there are going to be times when players find themselves in areas of the Oldest House that weren't seen in the previous title.

In addition to what's already mentioned, the trailer features an exclusive song by Finnish ethno-pop artist Vilma Jää. Titled as "Manalan Mailla," it's inspired by the Ingrian ensemble runonlaulu tradition. The song is now available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and other select streaming platforms.

The story of CONTROL Resonant focuses on Dylan Faden. After years of being confined by the Federal Bureau of Control, he emerges into a warped Manhattan at the peak of a paranatural crisis. He’s been asked to fight against a mysterious cosmic entity which has the ability to change the fundamental aspects of reality. Dylan now has to harness his new-found powers if he is to survive the various threats overwhelming Manhattan. On the road to unlocking the full potential of his paranatural abilities, Dylan also has to seek out his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden.

CONTROL Resonant is releasing September 24 and to be available for the PC via Steam. Read more about what to expect here.
