Indie developer Sharkbomb Studios released a new trailer for Crownbreakers. This fast-paced card game features turn-based tactics and combines it with deck-building mechanics. The game rewards momentum, smart positioning, and decisive plays.
Crownbreakers invites everyone to a spiritpunk world that's ruled by tyrants who grow fat by stealing souls just to grind them into profit. The game has players fight against necromantic criminals and demonic billionaires in order to break the soul trade and free the city. Players take on the role as one of the city's resistance fighters and recruit powerful champions and crash through enemy districts.

Demo Available
A demo of Crownbreakers is currently available to play on Steam. This should give those interested that first taste of that game's combination of deckbuilding, battlefield tactics, and explosive environmental interactions. Experience the Battlefield
In the game, players can use the actions of their champion and along with the cards, be able to control the battlefield. They can push enemies into the perfect position for their area of effect abilities or chain explosive barrels together to pulverize the opposition. Players need to master this to make the most of their abilities.
Each turn the battlefield advances, players get to uncover new obstacles and new enemies. There are also new rewards available that include rare cards that players can added to their deck and powerful relics to enable new synergies.
Players can also get their hands on stickers that can be added to the cards. The stickers can create powerful and custom cards. Examples include being able to increase the damage of a card, add new abilities, or extend the area of effect of the card. Basically, the right sticker on the right card can make or break a run.
Crownbreakers is being developed by the same team that created the deck-building game Nowhere Prophet. There's no release date yet as the game is currently deep in development. Wishlist the game on Steam now.
