Nexon revealed more details about the upcoming 20th anniversary celebration of MapleStory. For starters, Maple Con LA 2025 is happening on October 25 and is going to be in Long Beach, California.
Tickets go on sale beginning Wednesday, August 22 and to end on August 27. In addition to admission to the event, the tickets also allow attendees to get their own personalized Attendee Badge that features their MapleStory character along with an exclusive in-game items for MapleStory and even a special gift bag with collectible items.
The events at Maple Con LA 2025 include getting the chance to try out the GMS Classic World demo. There's also going to be merch available which features exclusive 20th Anniversary items.
Stage Sessions
The highlight though would have to be the Stage Sessions. These are convention-style stage sessions that's packed with live developer content and exciting engagement. Session 1 puts the focus on Visual Artist Saeyoun Kim (aka OtaKim). He'll be designing a monster live with the help of the audience. This creation is then to be added to the game's Winter Update. Meanwhile, Session 2 takes the spotlight and puts it on Visual Artist Jihoon Kim (aka J.KOON). He'll be sharing the early concepts of the The Saga of Althea as well as exclusive visuals and even untold behind-the-scenes details.
Session 3 is all about the GMS Classic World Developer Panel. It has Chief Product Officer Hanbyeol Oh (aka Inkwell) and Lead Game Designer Miyoung Oh (aka Nemi). They'll be sharing how GMS Classic World was crafted and what players can expect once it's released.
Then there's the Main Session which brings back Chief Product Officer Hanbyeol Oh (aka Inkwell) but this time accompanied by Development Director Kwanghyun Lim (aka Dr. Lim). Together they'll walk attendees on the new content and features arriving in the Winter Update.
