Studio Reveals Plans for Season 4 of The First Descendant

Developer Nexon revealed what's in the pipeline for Season 4 of The First Descendant. It's scheduled to arrive next summer and has players explore the story of Karel and the final battle. The story then culminates in the introductions of a new Mega Dungeon which has been designed to match the scale of its narrative.

For Season 4, players can look forward to missions that feature larger-scale combat along with more dramatic presentation compared to previous Infiltration Operations and Void Vessels.

Season 4 also introduces a complete overhaul of the game's weapon system. There's also some improvements coming to some of the features. These include the current progression structure of research, readjustment, and augmentation cores. In a statement, the studio revealed that this has since "become cumbersome for players." As a result, Season 4 is going to renew this and offer a more streamlined system. Meanwhile, transcendent-tier weapons are planned to be restructured around farming content. The goal is to deliver a completely new weapon system experience.

These can be obtained by clearing scenario missions within the game or in the World Missions where cooperation is crucial and battles with huge bosses.
