Studio Reveals Some of the Planned Changes in Path of Exile 2

It hasn't been long since Path of Exile 2 was released. However this early Grinding Gear Games has already shared what is being planned in the game. A lot of these were based on the player feedback.

For example, the development team is working on fast-travel between Checkpoints that's within an area. To make this feature even more efficient, more checkpoints are planned to be added, particularly at the entrances and exits to the areas. That's not all since the team also revealed in a post that they're working making Passive Point cheaper especially at higher levels.

Trial of the Sekhemas

The team also shared that it appears players were finding the Trial of the Sekhemas rather frustrating in close range. As a result, they've reworked on how Honour Damage scales when in close range. The team is also fixing an important bug that was causing players to take far too much Honour Damage from Damage over Time.

With that, Honour Damage now scales down based on distance to enemies. When in close range for example, players take 35% less Honour Damage and taper off as they are further away from Monsters. The team also fixed a bug where Damage over Time was dealing thrice as much damage to Honour as intended. Another bug fixed was where Honour Resistance was only applying to two-thirds of that damage.

Other changes include:

• Skitter Golems no longer use basic attacks and instead now just explode.

• Serpent Clans burrow and ambush attack now has improved visual telegraphing and cannot be used from as far away.

• Volcanoes created by Rattlecage’s Fissure Slam now last half the duration.

While the team is indeed working on these changes, the studio reminded everyone that they’ll be taking a quick break to get that much needed rest. This way they’ll be ready for 2025 refreshed.
