Studio Says Pathologic 3 is Coming Out in 2025

HypeTrain Digital announced that Pathologic 3 is scheduled to be released in 2025. This long-awaited sequel to the iconic Pathologic series brings back players to its roots. By that we mean the haunting and time-bound survival narrative that everyone has known and loved. However, there's also a lot of exciting things to look forward to which is not only being the original concepts being expanded but also the introduction of a new gameplay mechanic.

In the game, players once again find themselves in small and remote town. One that's been gripped with a mysterious and deadly disease. This time around they take on the role of one known as The Bachelor, who is a city doctor well known in his fight against death. He's been invited to the town by Isidor Burakh, who's now dead. There The Bachelor needs to work and unravel the mystery which results in not only saving the town but possibly even conquering death itself.

New Gameplay Mechanic

As mentioned, the game is introducing a new gameplay mechanic. It's a time-travel mechanic where players get to revisit the key events in the game and then change them to their advantage. Take note that players still have 12 days to save the town. With this new innovative mechanic though, it should give them the freedom to explore, as well as influence, events that can reshape the narrative.

The Doctor is In

As mentioned, players take on the role of a doctor. With their knowledge and science, they can examine patients and diagnose diseases. They can also cross-check symptoms and also prescribe treatments. As someone in the medical profession, they can even enforce rules that include imposing quarantines, confiscating medicine, vaccinating the population, deploying patrols, and imposing curfews.

It's not going to be easy since players have to delve into the darkest corners of the Town-on-Gorkhon in order to fight the disease. Aside from facing the Plague head-on, they have to cleanse the infected streets. They can even burn what can't be saved. Making things difficult is that there's only 12 days to save the town.
