Grinding Gear Games provided an update on what they're working on for Path of Exile 2. This comes after the opening weekend of Return of the Ancients is officially done.
According to the studio, the main issues they were working on were related to progression blocking bugs in endgame quests. It seems that players who experienced these bugs had no choice but to end their progress. As a result, they made the decision to consider it as "incredibly critical."
The good news is that almost all of the progression blocks that they know about have already been fixed. However, there may be cases where the fixes need players to rerun some of the content.
General Endgame
The studio also revealed that they're adding new atlas tree nodes that should bring with it more content especially to specific biomes. Once these have been added, the points for the nodes should also have been added to existing maps. For those who already completed those same maps, they should have the points added automatically.
While this has been resolved, there are still key issues being looked into. One of this is players experiencing a black screen during quest events that open the atlas.
Ritual
Another feature being looked into are Rituals, particularly Rite of the Nameless. When doing this ritual, players have the chance to change their mind on the maps picked. The result is that it gives players the possibility of seeing more mods. Though it's not as bad as it first appears, it is technically advantageous to do it. The studio says it is planning the change the system so that it becomes locked in each choice.
Other issues include those related to Delirium, Breach, and Runes of Aldur. There are also Character Balance and Fixes being planned. Check out the complete details here.
Path of Exile 2 is a free-to-play Action RPG that features co-op for up to six players. The game takes place in the land of Wraeclast, a dark continent which is populated by unique cultures, ancient secrets, and monstrous dangers. Check out more details of Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
