ZeniMax Online Studios provided an update on the Werewolf refresh coming to The Elder Scrolls Online. There's going to be some interesting changes to be implemented and players get to test it out in the upcoming PTS.

The Combat Refresh team revealed that players can look forward to the introduction of two new Werewolf models with one being male and the other female. Female characters in particular automatically use the new female model.

There's also going to be new animations, visual effects, and sound effects for almost every action of the Werewolf. These include, among others, locomotion, core combat mechanics, and abilities.

Werewolf Ultimate

Another new addition is an ability that's tied to the Ultimate to cast while in Werewolf form. It's one where players can release the beast for a duration and grants a handful of stark power bonuses. The team also completely overhauled how players manage and sustain Werewolf form. They can now use Ultimate to not only activate Werewolf form but even sustain it. In addition, Ultimate is now enabled and heavily awarded through certain Werewolf actions. Overall, players should find it significantly easier to maintain Werewolf form in most cases.

New Mechanics

Players can also look forward to the addition of new mechanics to the Werewolf. The first is "Slaughter" which is a synergy-based ability and operates much like Blade of Woe or Vampire's Feed.

The second mechanic is "Prowl," a mechanic override for Crouch. It's been designed to help utilize Slaughter more regularly along with being a tool to help players hunt those who would prefer to remain hidden.
