Koei Tecmo America and Team NINJA released the survey results for the Alpha Demo of Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember. The demo allowed players to get an early look into what the game has to offer.

The Alpha Demo was conducted between September 16 and September 30. Those able to participate got to experience the open field of Changban as they joined forces with Liu Bei’s army and took part in fierce battles against the pursuing armies of Cao Cao. After the Alpha Demo was completed, the studio then invited participants to complete a survey as a way of providing feedback.

Based on the result of the survey, one issue that the team needed to focus on was the complexity of the Insight Skill. They'll be working on improving the success detection. Also being worked on are the gain and loss balance of the Spirit system. Meanwhile, the development team is planning to make both Martial Arts and Wizardry Spells stronger.

Through these various modifications, the team revealed in a statement that this should give the game's combat system greater freedom. In addition, it should encourage players to have "a more aggressive approach" when it comes to battles. That's not all since there's also the improvement being done for the optimization that include upgrades to graphics and faster loading times.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is a dark fantasy Three Kingdoms action RPG. The game has players wield acrobatic Chinese martial arts as they try to conquer the vast battlefields of the Three Kingdoms. This was a period when the land was divided into three factions and had heroes fighting for their respective beliefs.

The game features an evolved version of combat where well-timed deflects allow players to neutralize enemy attacks. There’s also the fast-paced mix of offense and defense where they can get to use a wide range of weapons. When it comes to combat against formidable enemies, the experience is made even more acrobatic and thrilling through use of powerful Insight Skills. Insight Skills let players evade enemy attacks, use the terrain to unleash counterattacks, and even shift the momentum when outnumbered.

Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is scheduled for release on March 4, 2027, and to be available for the PC via Steam along with consoles PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2. Pre-order for the game is now open.
