Summoners War Launches Collab with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Com2uS announced that a new collaboration is coming to Summoners War. This one is with the popular anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It starts January 9 and one of the highlights is the addition of five key characters from the anime series to the game.

The characters are:

• Tanjiro Kamado: Grows stronger with unwavering determination and a warm heart.

• Nezuko Kamado: Fights alongside her brother while holding onto her humanity.

• Inosuke Hashibira: Brings his wild instincts and fierce combat style.

• Zenitsu Agatsuma: Overcomes his fears to unleash incredible power in moments of crisis.

• Gyomei Himejima: The steadfast Stone Hashira leading the Demon Slayer Corps with overwhelming strength and conviction.

For this collaboration, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke Hashibira, and Zenitsu appear as either a Nat 4 or Nat 5 Character, depending on their Attributes. Meanwhile, Gyomei exclusively appears as a Nat 5 Wind Attribute and available through an event.

Developing the Characters

In a statement, the studio shared that developing the skills for Tanjiro was rather exciting. This is because all his skills are active skills and allow Summoners to experience not only dynamic battles but also ones that are visually stunning. The studio went on to say that they worked hard to make sure that they were able to capture the intensity and energy of the action scenes from the anime and put it in the game.

It was also interesting for the studio to work on Zenitsu considering that as a true swordsman, he can channel everything into a single and powerful technique. Though he doesn't have a lot of active skills, his unique battle style offers combinations of passive and active skills. Summoners are sure to enjoy the battle especially when he releases that devastating attack in an instant.

Enjoy the Voice Overs

The studio also revealed that in order to capture the charm of the anime, the collaboration also has character voice overs from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime. Fans of the anime playing the game are sure to feel as if they're reliving the emotional and action-packed moments of the show.

Summoners War invites players to Sky Arena, a world under battle over the vital resource known as Mana Crystals. The game is available for PC via Steam.
