Summoners War has long been a hit thought it's only been available for mobile platforms. However, it looks like an official PC version is coming out this month and it's going to be on Steam.
The mobile version Summoners War: Sky Arena was released way back in June 2014. It was developed by Com2uS and since its release has been downloaded more than 200 million times with earnings amount to at least $2.1 billion. A sequel was released in 2021 and another one in 2022.
This version to be released on Steam is pretty much like the mobile one. You get to experience tactical RPG play through various monsters, each one having unique skills. Overall, there are more than 1500 different monsters grouped in five different attributes which are Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark. The goal is for you to collect as many monsters as you can and try to win battles using your own decks. By the way, there are also 23 Runes available that can give additional abilities to the monsters.
Fans of the mobile version should be happy to know that this upcoming title has what's know as he Forbidden Summoning Magic. With this, players can summon Homunculus and then evolve the skill that they want using this special monster.
Once you have the monsters that you want it's time to form a team and do battle. You can team up with other summoners and try to see if you can defeat the boss. You can even form a guild and explore the different dungeons. You can also test your skills and head to the Isle of Conquest for some Guild PvP fights. That's right! Enjoy real-time battle with summoners from around the world and come up with unique strategies to grab the win.
While it's been quite some time since the mobile version was released, this one has some new features that players can look forward to. Artifacts dropped for example now have MAX power-up levels. Meanwhile, the progression structure of summoners has been renewed with the content reward made even better.
