It looks like Christmas came in early for those excited about the upcoming title Beast. Developer False Prophet has made the game available in Early Access on Steam. The studio revealed that this move was done in order to have "the best possible game for fans."
The game being in early access means that players can look forward to a lot of things happening which include fixes, updates, and balances, to name a few. All of these are to be done before the full release of the game. For now, the game features more than 20 playable missions, 2 main characters, and 40 weapon types. There's also going to be 7 enemy classes and 11 enemy types. It may not sound much but the studio assured everyone that they can expect hours of replayable fun.
The official game is still set to be launched sometime in 2024. This means that it's going to be in early access in months rather than years. Once the full game comes out, it's going to include additional story missions, side missions, more enemies, more customizations, and many more.
Another good thing about the release on early access is that we get to see the system requirements for the PC. The minimum specs are:
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Ryzen 3 3100 or Intel Core i5-9400F or better
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 560/Nvidia GTX 1050 or better
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 40 GB available space
Beast follows the story of a veteran who everybody had presumed dead but has returned from a 10-year-long Ottoman slavery. His Carpathian homeland is now being ruled by a demented prophet-king with the lands being ruined by raiders and cursed with a hellish plague. Everything that he has cherished and loved has either changed beyond recognition or long gone. Now all he has left is the loyalty of his soldiers and a holy quest to stop the plague. While facing the hordes of enemies, he has to do the same to his inner demons and see if he has what it takes to survive.
