Furyu has released its survival third-person shooter ANOMALITH and is now available on Steam. It's set in a future Japan that's steeped in the atmosphere of liminal spaces and Showa-era retro aesthetics. As part of the launch, the game is being offered at a 10% discount for a limited period.
In a post, the development team revealed that ANOMALITH is a game packed with everything they love. One of the team members for example loves firearms and as a result went so far as to model even the internal mechanisms of the weapons. The team went on to say that for those able to play the full version of the game, they hope to get feedback so as to improve it even further.

Anomalies Appear
As mentioned, the game is set in Japan, sometime in the future. Anomaly Zones suddenly appear without any sign. The story focuses on 17-year old Reona Minazuki. While looking for her friend who went missing in an Anomaly ZOne, she eventually becomes a Diver for the government-backed Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office. On her first Dive, countless other Divers fall victim to the Zone but it results in a strange power awakening within her. As the sole survivor, she makes the decision to dive deep into the abyss of Anomaly Zones.
As she explores the Anomaly Zones, Reona faces strange creatures called "Anomalies." To survive, she'll need to manage ammunition while also carefully choosing what to retrieve as she makes her way to extraction.
