The Apocalypse
The story follows a zombie outbreak which has wiped out civilization. The zeeks, as they are called, have managed to bite their way to the top and are now the apex predator. The surviving humans are now the endangered species and trying to survive this unwelcoming world in isolated pockets. In this isometric and open-world survival game, you are asked with trying to make a difference and see if you have what it takes to bring back humanity to the top of the food chain.
Surviving the World
For those who think they can do it alone, they can just grab a rifle and then start foraging. If you think you'll have a hard time then head on over to cooperative mode which allows you to form a team of up to four players.
Once that's done, it's time to explore the vast and unforgiving world. In addition to the untamed wilderness, there's also the dense urban cities which are littered with drivable vehicles. Meanwhile the dynamic weather system is sure to keep you on your toes. To survive, you'll need to pick through whatever is remaining in the world and scavenge for resources. There's also the choice to set up a farm, maybe hunt game, or catch fish.
By the way, it’s important to remember that in this world, zeeks aren’t necessarily stupid or even slow. Be sure to adapt and even improvise when facing against the different variants. Otherwise, you’ll simply become zombie fodder. Those looking for a challenge and want to test their skills, take a shot at Permadeath Mode.
