What do you when you have a game like Final Fantasy Tactics and mix it with Fire Emblem? If studio XD Games is to be believed, it's their upcoming title Sword of Convallaria. This tactical fantasy role-playing game is coming out later this year for PC and mobile devices.
The game offers players a rich fantasy setting along with gorgeous pixel graphics and turn-based battles. With players being able to shape the narrative of the game and determine the fate of the characters, it's clear that it brings with it a fresh take on the genre. Whether playing on desktop or mobile platforms, players can look forward to a truly rewarding strategic gameplay and graphics with quality like what can be experienced on consoles.

A New Adventure
Sword of Convallaria takes players on the ancient continent of Rodinia. In particular, they start in the small nation of Iria, which is rich in magical Luxite minerals. Players start the adventure waking up in a dungeon and escaping to Convallaria. This is a town that's under the threat of the escalating conflicts in Iria. Players take on the role as the leader of what's known as the Sword of Convallaria Mercenary Group. In order to bring back peace to Iria, they'll need to navigate their way across the different factions while making difficult decisions.
Leading the Mercenaries
Throughout their journey players can customize their very own mercenary group. This can be done by recruiting companions and teaching skills. Players can also forge equipment, research technology, and of course, accept missions form the various factions. During combat, it's important to keep in mind strategic gameplay. Players need to deploy allies while moving through terrain elements to try and get that much needed advantage against opponent. For each battle fought and choice made by the players, it's going to shape the destiny of Rodinia.
