Sword of Convallaria is inviting everyone to join a quest to rescue the nation of Iria. This fantasy tactical RPG is launching on PC and mobile platforms on July 31. The game features classic Japanese turn-based tactical RPG elements and combines it with neo-pixel visuals while seamlessly blending old-school RPG design with modern-day graphical enhancements.

In the game, players are tasked with forming a team of allies, each having unique abilities. They then get to take part in strategic grid-based battles versus rival factions. The intricate combat system ensures that players need to come up with the right strategy to win. They'll also need to release those devastating attacks especially if they want to win against the different enemies they meet on their journey.

Unlike other titles, the game's grid-based combat takes place across different varied obstacles and terrains. This results in what can be described as true tactical gameplay with players needing to use each detail of the battlefield to their advantage. Terrain differences for example like boulders and cliffs can result in buffs and debuff which enrich the available tactical options.

A Rich Storyline

Another feature of Sword of Convallaria that players are sure to love is the profound storyline. It's driven by player agency and unfolds based on the decisions made. The narrative itself changes based on the choices made by the players and their achievements. Developer XD revealed in a statement that players can expect a rich storyline that brings with it 120 hours of single-player gameplay.

Enjoy the Music

In addition to its rich story, the game also boasts of a soundtrack made possible by none other than legendary video game music producer Hitoshi Sakimoto. Sakimoto is known for his work on titles like Valkyria Chronicles and Final Fantasy Tactics. The game also features a star-studded voice cast that includes the likes of Kazuhiko Inoue, Aoi Yūki, and Takuya Eguchi, to name a few.
