A new free challenge quest has been launched in Monster Hunter Wilds. Get ready to take on "The Shining Storm Rages."
To join, players need to have a Hunter Rank of at least 50. It's located in the Windward Plains and the goal is to Slay an Arch-tempered Rey Dau. They'll need to complete this as fast as possible and those who manage to finish it get to earn an exclusive pendant. Note that the Pendant is to be distributed at a later date.
The event runs May 7 and ends May 20.
A Silent Flash
Players should be happy to know that there's still a chance to complete the event quest "A Silent Flash." That's because it's expected to end on May 13. To participate, they'll need to head on over to the Windward Plains and be at least Hunter Rank 50.
If they qualify they can then hunt an Arch-tempered Rey Dau and those successful can forge the Rey Dau γ armor set with special rewards.
Monster Hunter Wilds tells the story of monsters and humans and their struggles to live in harmony in a world of duality. Players get to take on the role of a Hunter who tracks and defeats powerful monsters. They can also forge new weapons and armor from the materials that they harvest during the hunt.
The story focuses on a young boy named Nata who was rescued at the border of the Forbidden Lands. It's an unexplored region the guild has yet to be surveyed. However, after learning about the boy and his lone escape from a mysterious monster that attacked his village, the Guild has decided to organize an expedition into the Forbidden Lands to investigate.
The environments within the Forbidden Lands can drastically change as the weather shifts constantly and suddenly. During the harsh Fallow and perilous Inclemency periods for example, ravenous monsters venture out to hunt in packs. Then during the Plenty periods, wildlife is rich and abundant. Meanwhile, the monsters who inhabit these environments have been forced to adapt to the dynamic changes that occur and now use their unique characteristics to survive and thrive.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available for the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. It’s also been released for the PC and one platform is Steam.
