Tales of Spark is an Action RPG That Has an Eastern Flair

Most hack & slash are based on Western stories. Tales of Spark however brings something new to the table by offering an Eastern flair. This action RPG has players take on the role of a young wandering swordsman as they explore the desert defeating enemies and finding treasures. The game is coming out on February 5.

The Four Sparks

The game features a rather interesting story about Gonggong being defeated by Zhurong. In a fit of range, Gonggong used a great smash and damage the Buzhou Mountain. However, this mountain was said to be the pillar which held up the heaven. With the mountain now broken, what followed was a great flood and with it suffering. Nüwa couldn't bear the loss of life and thus she gathered and melted stones in an attempt to mend the sky. With the mending, it resulted in the four magic Sparks created to be scattered across the earth.

The Fire Spark was scattered to West Pasha Kingdom with the Thunder Spark sent to the Great Grassland. The Cold Spark meanwhile went to the Kunlun Mountains and Poison Spark to South Jiange. When these Four Sparks are gathered, they offered power beyond imagination. Because of this, strife and struggles have endlessly taken place with the intention of gathering them all.

Travel and Fight

The main story of the main game takes place in the desert where there are 5 large dungeons and 10 small underground palaces. There are also more than 50 different monsters to fight along with elite enhanced versions of these monsters. There's also going to be at least a dozen powerful bosses.

Players get to take control of the hero, having 20 skills and 30 talents. They can choose which one to use as they build the hero to maximize the abilities. As the hero becomes stronger, more people are going to be ask for help. Overall, the game has a main quest with a lot of side quests.

As they move forward with their adventure, players won’t be empty handed. That’s because they’ll be able to get gear and items. In addition, they can look forward to more than 80 pieces of powerful ancient equipment.
