Netmarble announced that Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE has been released worldwide and now available on Steam and Xbox. It's based on the megahit webtoon Solo Leveling with the action RPG being able to deliver an original take on a beloved adventure.
Before reading further, a new trailer has been released to celebrate the launch. Watch it here.
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE was first showcased to fans at last month's TwitchCon San Diego. There it received an enthusiastic reception and after that was able to build momentum with a demo release on November 17 and then Advanced Access which started November 21. With the game now officially available, players now get the chance to experience what it means to be Sung Jinwoo.
Deluxe Edition
The Standard Edition of the game is available for $39.99. There's also a Deluxe Edition that's priced at $44.99. The Deluxe Edition has a lot of bonus content in addition to the base game. These include:
Deluxe Edition-exclusive Sung Jinwoo costume "Sung Jinwoo: Overdrive"
- 1 Face Accessory for Sung Jinwoo
- 2 New Hairstyles for Sung Jinwoo
- 1 New Profile Card
- 1 New Profile Frame
- 1 New Icon
- 1 New Profile Background
But wait, there's more! It also has the Cha Hae-In Emoji Set which contains eight items. These are:
- "Hello!"
- "Let's go!"
- "You're the best!"
- "I'm sorry!"
- "Thanks!"
- "Help!"
- "Run!"
- "Over here!"
Finally, the Deluxe Edition also has the Yaruru "Predator Tank." A Yaruru is a cute ally character that helps hunters by picking up items and gathering resources for them.
New Chapters
Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE offers a story that's retold with new chapters. While it still has players follow Sung Jinwoo on his journey to become the world's strongest hunter, they get to enjoy an original story from the webtoon along with new adventures that are exclusive to the game.
Players can also look forward to the elevated action as they experience the dynamic and gorgeously animated combat that evolves with choice of weapons and skill combos. They can dodge monster attacks for example through Extreme Evasion and then land a powerful counterattack with the perfect parry. Ultimately, players can build their own unique combat style through a skill tree that branches into eight different job advancements.
Like with the webtoon, players can unlock new abilities with Monarch's Awakening which transforms Sung Jinwoo into the Ultimate Monarch of Shadows.
