The Battle Begins When SoulQuest Arrives in Steam on May 1

SoulBlade Studio announced that they've finally managed to lock in a release date for its upcoming title SoulQuest. The game has players carve their path across hordes of enemies as they defy the gods to seize the power of the Goddess of Death Morrigan.

In a post, the studio revealed that the game has been in development for seven years. It's been a long road and the studio shared that all of this was made possible because of the "Support from day one." That's not all as the studio also said that SoulQuest is officially Steam Deck verified.

An Important Quest

SoulQuest tells the story of Alys. Her husband has been taken by the gods but she refuses to accept that verdict. She arms herself with a sword and embarks on a quest to bring his soul back. That means Alys has to face the goddess of death, Morrigan. It's a game where players experience an epic story of love conquering death. Players are invited to a fantasy world that draws on the rich legacy of Celtic myths and Arthurian legends

Combat System

The game's deep combat system features a wide range of attacks, which is then combined with magic abilities and ultimates. It's been designed to make it easy to understand while also offering players a lot of ways to master it.

To be able to defeat the hordes of foes, from fodder to cleave part and even to elite foes, players need to have quick thinking. There are also challenging bosses that come with a lot of aces up their sleeves.

That said, there are a lot of secrets just waiting to be discovered across the vast levels. When it comes to Alys, she has the ability which allows her to use vertical surfaces for sliding and jumping off.
