Studio Wildcard provided more details on the Burrowbuck that's set to make its presence felt in ARK: Survival Ascended. This peculiar horned hare at first looks nothing more than a fleeting shape in the dust. However, those who had the time to observe this creature know better.
The best way to describe the Burrowbuck is that it's a Twentieth Century North American folklore. While it is a prey species, this horned hare does what it can to avoid predation. When startled, the Burrowbuck kicks up a faceful of blinding dirt as it tunnels away underground.
The thing is, once it's tamed, the Burrowbuck won't hesitate to let you into its rather surprisingly spacious hidey-holes. Its warrens can serve as a temporary bunker but could collapse especially without regular maintenance. Still, it can serve as a handy new travel-network that affords swift movement from entrance to exit. The Burrowbuck can also dig false entrances as a way to discourage interlopers. That means any predator or enemy that tries to enter a Burrowbuck tunnel uninvited has the risk of dropping down a diversionary pitfall that then caves in and traps them.
Those who want to befriend a Burrowbuck should learn patience. They'll need to offer tasty snacks and for the first few times they'll probably wipe grit from their eyes as this clever cryptid skedaddles away.

Eggcellent Adventure Extended
In a post, the studio announced that the Eggcellent Adventure event has been extended to April 21. That means there's still time to follow the trails of wild Bunny Dodos and Bunny Oviraptors and collect Bunny Eggs scattered across the ARK. The festive finds can be painted for fun or used to craft special holiday-themed cosmetics that include seasonal costumes and chibis.
