The next expansion for EVE Online is releasing June 9. Dubbed as the "Cradle of War," it adds military campaigns to the game. This is a new system which structures large-scale empire conflict across New Eden.
Military campaigns introduce what can be described as structured objectives and progression to empire conflict. It connects player activity into coordinated conflicts across multiple locations. As a way of supporting this, there are eight new ships offered that expand options from early frontline combat to endgame fleet coordination.
New Navy Destroyers in particular are available and built for factional warfare. They're fast to skill into while at the same time effective in coordinated fleets. Meanwhile, new Tech II carriers introduce advanced support roles and amplify allied effectiveness through command bursts, support fighters, and battlefield control.
Starter Space
Another new feature to be introduced with the upcoming update is the non-PvP starter space. It's been designed to give those new to the game a stronger path when it comes to New Eden. It's all about focused training, gradual complexity, and a community of fellow new pilots. The start system gives players that much needed room to earn those stripes before they go out into the wider security regions of space.
Epic Arc Missions
There are also new Epic Arc missions. These are playable and hyper-real simulations of defining battles from New Eden’s past. There are four pivotal moments, one for each Empire. It means rookie capsuleers get that chance to step into history to understand each faction’s identity, enemies, and ideals.
Titles and Achievements
Players can also look forward to a new layer of progression that's tied to their identity. The first is Achievements, which track activity across the full breadth of New Eden. It provides direction for new players while recognizing long-term accomplishment.
The second is Titles, which can be unlocked when Achievements are completed. These are also rewarded as part of Campaign goals. Titles appear across interactions, from chat to contracts, showing experience, focus, and playstyle at a glance, as players build their identity and legacy over time.
