The Crossroads Update is Now Live in Final Fantasy XIV

The first major update for Final Fantasy XIV since the release of the Dawntrail expansion is finally here. Patch 7.1 is dubbed as the "Crossroads" update and introduces a lot of new content. One of these is the continuation of the journey by the Warrior of Light after the conclusion of Dawntrail.

There are also new challenges like the Yuweyawata Field Station dungeon, the Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene's Burden trial, and the Jade Stoa (Unreal) trial. This new update also marks the beginning of the Final Fantasy XI crossover alliance raid series known as "Echoes of Vana'diel." Read more about the Crossroads update here.

Patch Roadmap

After this update, there's going to be a series of Patch 7.1x to be released which introduces further changes to the game. Each one brings with it different content and changes to the gameplay experience.

Patch 7.11 is coming out this November 26 adds a new Ultimate Raid which is Futures Rewritten (Ultimate). Then December 17 sees the release of Patch 7.15. It brings with it new content that includes:

• A New Custom Delivery Client – Nitowikwe

• Additional Wachumeqimeqi Quests – Players who have completed all Wachumeqimeqi quests will be able to enjoy a finale to wrap-up their respective stories.

• New Hildibrand Quest Series – Everyone’s favorite inspector returns for more antics in Dawntrail.

One week after Patch 7.15 goes live, players can look forward to the Chaotic Alliance Raid known as The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic). This is a new 24-player and high-difficulty alliance raid.

Finally, there's Patch 7.16 which releases January 21, 2025, and introduces additional Role Quests.

New Collabs

Aside from the new and upcoming patches, players can also enjoy the latest collabs. There's the one with Flibustier Paris where the family-owned jewelry brand is releasing a dedicated collection of three bracelets in gemstones and 925 silver, which represent each Grand Company from the game.
