Players have the option to choose from three different versions. The Standard Edition is available for $59.99. Then there's the Deluxe Edition that's priced at $94.99. It has the SUPER ROBOT WARS Y base plus the Bonus Mission Pack that comes with 15 Side Missions and even a bonus mission. The Deluxe Edition also has two DLC sets and each one contains playable units, additional Area Missions, and Assist Crew members.
Finally, there's the Ultimate Edition that's being offered at $119.99. It has everything that is in the Deluxe Edition. It also has the Premium Sound & Data Pack that comes with 31 anime theme songs and sounds, 15 original music tracks, and 55 pages of reference documents that include art and design documents. It also has 1 bonus mission.
SUPER ROBOT WARS Y challenges the Guardians of Steel to rise and conquer fate. The game features an all-star mecha cast and combines it with action-packed attack animations. It also has an upgrade system that allows players to customize the different units and pilots.
The game also features a deep and engaging original story that weaves together universes from a variety of mecha anime. In a battle to determine the world’s future, players strategically command an army on a grid-based battlefield. They can utilize their arsenal of weapons and abilities to defeat the opposing army.
One key feature of the game is the Assist Link system. What it does is allow some characters to join the battlefield as part of the Assist Crew. Players can use Assist Commands to recover HP and EN, boost a unit's attack power, and more. The Assist Crew gains valuable XP with each activation, leveling up to unlock or enhance passive abilities to help units dominate the battlefield.
