A new update drops tomorrow in The First Descendant. One of the highlights is a new Void Intercept Battle. Titled as "Extreme," the new mode puts the existing Difficult Void Intercept Battle and the Depths into one.
How it works is that when players defeat all standard Colossi in "Void Intercept Battle: Extreme," it results in the "Void Extreme Battle: Critical Point" being unlocked. This feature lets players adjust the difficulty where higher challenges offer more exclusive currency. This currency can then be used to buy limited items at a special season-exclusive shop. In a statement, developer Nexon revealed that Void Intercept Battle: Extreme is set to be an official mode starting in Season 4.
Weapons Balance Update
The new update for The First Descendant also brings with it a balance update for two weapons. The first one is Divine Punishment. The change now lets players using a Medical-type or Charge-type skill obtain a "Praise" effect. When active, the effect triggers a "Purifying Blaze" that activates when players manage to land multiple hits against enemies. What happens after is that "Purifying Blaze" then gives an elemental resistance along with boosts to healing/shield.
The second weapon getting a balance update is the Final Masterpiece. By simply hitting normal monsters, players can trigger a Frost Burst which then applies a damaging Frostbite effect to enemies. However, Elites or Commanders that are hit result in deadly icicles being produced which then damage nearby Commander-type monsters.
