The Flashpoint Resurgence Begins in Star Wars: The Old Republic

The latest update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is now live. Game Update 7.7.1 is all about the Flashpoint Resurgence and brings with it a lot of new content.

The latest story sees the return of Kai Zykken. He has another offer to test a new version of the adrenal boost created by Czerka. It seems that the updated Experimental Combat Enhancers provide even more special buffs upon use when in Flashpoints. Players can make progress through the Free Reward track or the Subscriber Reward track and earn new rewards.

As part of the new update, a new Galactic Season Flashpoint Resurgence queue has been added to Activity Finder. For each week that Galactic Season 9 is active, this special queue is going to have 1 or 2 Veteran Flashpoints that match the weekly objectives.

Flashpoint Cutscene Skip

Players that enter a Veteran or Master Mode Flashpoint through Activity Finder can find that the cinematic scenes now skip automatically. The cinematics are replaced with a brief fade to black.

In instances where players would typically make a Light or Dark side choice, a default choice is going to be made for players and Light/Dark points won’t be granted. Should players want to experience the cinematics in a Veteran or Master Mode Flashpoint, they can manually walk into the phase.

In addition, players who complete certain Flashpoints in Veteran Mode via Activity Finder no longer need to return to the fleet to complete the access mission. The Flashpoints are Athiss, Cademimu, Hammer Station, and Mandalorian Raiders.
