In a post, XLGAMES shared that early access serves as the start of a new chapter for ArcheAge Chronicles. The studio revealed that they'll continue to work and "improve the game" and build on the feedback submitted by players.
A World of Story
ArcheAge Chronicles is set in the Age of Pioneers with the land of Auroria being rediscovered. This has led to a lot of hopeful pioneers heading to this once long forgotten distant land and trying to make a name for themselves. Players take on the role of an experienced explorer as they take their first steps into Auroria as a member of an established trading company. In this new adventure they get to explore ancient ruins, investigate a catastrophic airship crash, and even become embroiled in the web of intrigue surrounding the mysterious and tragic event. Along the way they get to meet characters shrouded in mystery, each with their own secrets and goals.
Action-Packed Combat
ArcheAge Chronicles is able to transcend traditional MMORPG mechanics through fluid and sophisticated action combat. Players can choose from a wide range of weapons and skills to create a unique build and overcome powerful foes. They can also explore different combat styles that include close-quarters melee, deadly ranged attacks, and powerful magic. They can even engage dynamically as they jump, fall, roll, dash, block, and parry.
