Ashborne Games announced that when The Guild – Europa 1410 launches, it's set to feature four medieval cities. The game invites players to forge their path to power in medieval Europe.
The first of the four cities is Wroclaw, considered one of the most important centers of trade and commerce in Silesia. It also serves as a significant hub of cultural and religious development. Then there is Nuremberg, a city that played a major role in the Holy Roman Empire. It was known for its craftsmanship along with being a vital trade hub for goods from Italy and northern Europe.
The third is Styria, which is controlled by the House of Habsburg. The city offers a strategically important position when it comes to countering Ottoman ambitions. Finally, there is Kuttenberg or Kutná Hora. This is a city that should be familiar to a lot of players. The rich silver mines made it one of the most important settlements in Bohemia. In addition, it also served as a major force in Europe’s silver production.
The Guild – Europa 1410 takes players back to the roots of the series as it draws inspiration from the original Europa 1400: The Guild. Players start the game serving as the head of a fledgling dynasty. They begin with a modest business but later grow their enterprise. To ensure that their legacy endures the tests of time, they’ll have to expand the influence of the family while also securing succession.
The thing is, to get that voice in the town hall, having business and trade won’t be enough. To truly steer the fortunes of the city and make sure that the law always favors their side, players need to engage in the rather intricate political landscape. They’ll need to use popularity, bribes, or even blackmail to climb the social ladder and secure a place in the highest offices.
The Guild – Europa 1410 invites players to navigate a complex web of relationships. It’s a game where each decision can impact the future of the dynasty. Players have to master the art of trade and production to build their wealth. They’ll need to use diplomacy and cunning to outmaneuver rivals. Wishlist The Guild – Europa 1410 on Steam now.
