The Guns and Looting Patch Arrives to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl

The Guns and Looting Patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl is finally here. This is the most significant update for the game to date. That's because there's new weapons and even some never-before-seen gameplay features.

New Firepower

Patch 1.5 introduces players to two formidable new weapons, which should be perfect for those who want to survive the relentless dangers in the Zone.

The first is the Three-Line Rifle, a lightweight and bolt-action sniper rifle that has impressive range and precision. This is ideal for sharpshooters and has in fact become a favorite among veterans of the Zone. Get your hands on this weapon early in the journey and test it against distant threats.

The second weapon is the Kora Pistol. This heavy-hitting and clunky pistol is one that sacrifices speed for raw power. It may have a limited magazine but each shot packs a punch. This is a good option for those who prefer impactful firepower. Be sure to keep an eye out for the rare Night Stalker variant, a unique Kora coveted by weapon collectors.

Expanded Looting

Patch 1.5 also introduces players to a new feature which is known as mutant parts looting. What happens is that when players defeat bloodsuckers, fleshes, and other mutants, they now yield valuable parts that include eyes, tusks, and tentacles. These can then be traded with NPCs for coupons. Before everything else though, players need to visit Malachite to master the art of harvesting them in tradable condition.

The Zone Kit

Players should also be happy to know that the new update also adds The Zone Kit. This is a powerful modding toolset that empowers players to shape the Zone to their vision. The Zone Kit allows stalkers to:

• Modify or create new animations, weapons, mechanics, and anomalies.

• Adjust gameplay to suit your preferences, whether you're seeking more challenge, less difficulty, or something entirely new.

• Share creations effortlessly via mod.io or Steam Workshop, depending on the platform.

While this is indeed exciting, this feature is limited for now to the Epic Games Store.
