It appears that the disquiet happening in Albion seems to be coming to a head. That's because a radical group of Keepers has been growing in numbers across the vast reaches. Players need to prepare when the Keeper Uprising begins this July 4 in Albion Online.
Over the next two months, players are tasked with fighting the rebellious Keepers, also known as the Ashborn. Doing so has them encounter previously unknown enemies, explore the deepest corners of the world, earn brand-new vanity items, and uncover the lore of the Keepers.
The Keeper Uprising runs until August 31. During the entire period, players can complete a series of Keeper-related missions which contribute to their overall progress in the event. These missions can be found in the Activities UI, and function like an Albion Journal category. Every time players complete a mission, they get an individual reward. Then by reaching certain completion milestones, they can unlock brand-new and themed vanity items like the Ashborn Armor, Helmet, and Avatar Ring.
Keeper Memories
One of the key features of the event are the addition of Keeper Memories. These are fragments of lore that players can collect. They tell the story behind the uprising and offer a glimpse into the world of the Keepers. Some of these fragments can be found scattered across the open world of Albion. These include some of the deepest and most hidden areas. This means players have to explore diligently if they want to get to the bottom of these events. Other Memories, meanwhile, can be obtained from killing certain mobs. These are untradable and players need to find them in order to complete the story.
Albion Online is a sandbox MMORPG that's set in an open medieval fantasy world. It features a player-driven economy where nearly every item is player-crafted. Players can combine armor pieces and weapons suited to their playstyle in a unique and classless "you are what you wear" system. They get to explore the world as they take on other adventurers in thrilling battles, conquer territories, and build a home.
What makes Albion Online unique compared to other games in the same genre is that instead of a pre-built and linear path full of game-provided quests, it gives players the chance to write their own story and thus play it in countless different ways. The game’s sprawling world has five biomes that’s spread across two massive continents. In addition to near-endless opportunities for exploration and discovery, there’s also a wide range of PvE and PvP options for solo and group players.
Albion Online is available for the PC via Steam.
