A new update is set to release in Zenless Zone Zero tomorrow. Version 3.1 is titled "The Long Goodbye" and celebrates the second anniversary of the game.
The main story of "The Long Goodbye" sees the representatives of New Eridu's major factions arrive on the island one after another. The Proxies in particular manage to unexpectedly reunite with an old close friend named Truvia, who is also the heiress of High Ambitions Corp. As it turns out, there was an incident in the past that drove them apart. This same incident also left a scar in the memory of Pyrois, one that never fully heals.
Meanwhile the Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department Lindverne Sunbringer, along with her Deputy Director Sigrid, formally meet the Proxies for the very first time. Following this encounter, players get to see Lindverne's carefree demeanor and the legends surrounding Sigrid come to light.
Elsewhere, Remielle Dan, who has been hidden away in an En-Nah Gang hideout, returns to the spotlight. In addition, the Enchainer she previously mentioned, an entity far more powerful than anyone could imagine, gradually comes into focus as the story unfolds.
2nd Anniversary Rewards
As mentioned, the update is being released as part of the game's 2nd Anniversary. During the celebration, all Proxies can freely choose one of five limited S-Rank Agents who are Jane, Soldier 0 - Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia. They can also obtain their corresponding exclusive W-Engine at the same time.
There is also the login rewards total 1,600 Polychromes with the second half's check-in event adding an additional 10 Encrypted Master Tapes.
The Long Goodbye launches in Zenless Zone Zero on July 29. It’s going to be available for the PC via Steam and consoles PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. The update is coming out as well on mobile platforms through iOS and Android.
Zenless Zone Zero is an urban fantasy ARPG where a calamity called the "Hollows" has destroyed modern society. Against all odds, New Eridu, which is the last remaining metropolis, becomes what can be described as the last bastion of modern civilization. Players take on the role of a "Proxy" and are accompanied by unique characters. The group gets to explore Hollows, battle enemies, complete commissions, and reveal the mysteries behind New Eridu.
