The latest expansion for Diablo IV is finally here. The Lord Of Hatred invites all adventurers to make their final stand against none other than the Prime Evil Mephisto. In addition to a new campaign, players are invited to explore the ancient region of Skovos and try to master two new classes.
Finish the Fight
The new expansion is all about finishing the fight. It seems that the demons of Hell have arrived and are now tormenting Sanctuary as the Lord of Hatred carries out his quest to shatter mankind. Mephisto’s faithful have managed to spread across Sanctuary as they twist devotion into devastation.
In this darkest hour, a beacon of hope emerges but Lilith herself is the only way to reach it. With the help of old friends along with unlikely allies, adventurers now have to rise against Mephisto before he reaches the Pools of Creation and bathes the world in hatred.
A Dangerous Land
The latest expansion expands the open world of Sanctuary with an adventure to Skovos. This never-before-seen region is the ancient birthplace of the firstborn civilization and the former home of Lilith and Inarius. It's now ruled by The Oracle and Amazon Queen.
From the volcanic west to the forests of the east and the sunken lands between, players can discover crumbling temples and waterlogged shores. Each expedition reveals new towns, dungeons, and monsters. The courage of players are also tested against sinister cultists, horrors from the sea, and the lingering shadow of Hell.
Two New Classes
Two new classes are being added to the game. The first is the Paladin who wields a hammer and shield to deliver those crushing melee blows. By being able to channel Holy Light, the Paladin can include divine power with those blows.
Then there's the Warlock, who's more than ready to release infernal destruction. This class can tear open the veil between worlds to bind demons, conjure hellfire, and command legions of Hell.
Diablo IV is the fourth main installment of the highly acclaimed Diablo franchise. It takes place in Sanctuary and is set 50 years after Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. This time the main antagonist is Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto. With the forces of both angels and demons now depleted, it appears that the time is ripe for Lilith to finally establish her power in Sanctuary. To fight Lilith, players can choose from five different classes which are the Barbarian, Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer.
Diablo IV is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC through Battle.net and Steam.
