The Monolith of Fate to Rise in Last Epoch

Season 2 of Last Epoch is releasing on April 17. Once it goes live, Travelers are going to face new challenges in the Monolith of Fate. It was placed by The Weaver, a Titan who wants to create a new world that's free from the Void and other imperfections.

In their Echoes, players get the chance to uncover Tombs and Cemeteries of the Erased. These are new side zones filled with the Weaver’s experiments and flawed creations. For Season 2, it's all about Tombs and Cemeteries as they represent the game's first foray when it comes to procedurally generated side zones. This is to make sure that each area is unique and different.

Once they're inside these zones, they should find what's known as the Woven. These are beings who capture souls for the Weaver and wrap them in Cocoons. Breaking these Cocoons open releases the souls, which then flee and possess nearby enemies. These possessed enemies obtain new abilities, increased health, and damage. Then when slain, they drop Memory Amber, which is a new currency used in the Weaver’s Faction. As a bit of advice, players should collect as much Memory Amber as they can throughout the zones.

Once players reach the end of a Tomb and challenge one of the Goldthread Fateweavers, they'll have the chance to enchant their idols with some of the Weaver’s power through the Woven Enchanter device and gain a duplicate of the current echo bonus reward.

By the way, while exploring the Monolith of Fate, players can find Cemeteries of the Erased. This is a new Echo type which contains even greater dangers and riches. Within these Cemeteries, players have to locate and defeat the Woven Firstborn who is guarding the Weaver’s Altar.

Season 2 was initially set to be released April 2 but has since been delayed to April 17. Learn more about the upcoming season here.
