ArenaNet released the latest update for Guild Wars 2. Raids & Wardrobe introduces new content to the game with a new raid along with a host of improvements.
The new raid encounter is called Guardian Glade. This one has players face off against what can be described as a "truly awe-inspiring crustacean." Squads of 10 players get the chance to prove their worth versus one of the Guardians of Castora. Then there's a challenge mode that becomes available in three weeks. One way to access this new encounter, which is the easiest one, is through the new raid UI.
Raid Quickplay
Players can also now access Raid Quickplay. This is a way for players to queue up to be matched with nine other players and challenge one of several pre-selected raid encounters. To enter, all players need to do is choose Quickplay from the raid UI.
Once the queue completes and players accept the raid, the entire squad is then transported into the raid. Nobody is going to be assigned a commander or lieutenant role by default. However, all players have the option to put down markers and start ready checks. All players in quickplay get an effect applied that provides moderate bonuses to help groups succeed regardless of party composition. Once they complete the encounter successfully, players are then presented with the option to stay in the party and go to the Lion’s Arch Aerodrome or leave the party and return to the map they were in before entering.
