A new update has been released for Tombwater and introduces the highly requested Class Respec feature. With this, players can now change classes and experiment with different builds, all without the need to start a new game.
How it works is that players need to head over to the Vauxhall Mining Camp and look for one Drinks Johnson at the saloon. Offer him at least one Whiskey bottle and after that players should be to respec to any of the seven starting classes.
Switch Classes
With players now able to switch between all seven classes, it should allow for a new gameplay experience. The classes are:
- Soldier: A durable frontline fighter built around strength, endurance, and powerful melee attacks.
- Gunslinger: A ranged specialist who relies on fast, high-damage gunfire to take down enemies from a distance.
- Occultist: A magic-focused class specializing in hexes, with increased resistance to Madness.
- Tinkerer: A resourceful fighter who makes the most of crafted items, explosives, traps, and potions.
- Spellblade: A hybrid fighter who combines close-range swordplay with magic and hexes.
- Drifter: A versatile, mobile fighter who uses quick movement and dashing sword attacks to outmaneuver enemies.
- Nameless: A challenging option for experienced Soulslike players, with limited starting advantages and little room for error.
In addition to being able to change classes, players can also reallocate their HP, MP, and Stamina. However, starting equipment remains tied to the character's original class.
New Boss
Update V1.1 also brings with it a new challenging boss. Players need to travel all the way to the northern end of the Tombwater Cemetery. There a new challenge awaits them in the Casket Workshop. The enemy is the wielder of an unseen lantern and the flames spread across the battlefield.
Language Support
Players should also be happy to know that this update adds six new languages to Tombwater. These are:
- Simplified Chinese
- Japanese
- Korean
- German
- Brazilian Portuguese
- LATAM Spanish.
Tombwater has players take on the role of a lone gunslinger who arrives in the accursed ghost town looking for a lost friend. It seems that the residents of this once-prosperous mining town have been afflicted by madness. Monsters and horrors now roam the streets though a few souls remain with a sound mind.
The game has players dash and slash their way across combat versus unsettling eldritch beasts. They get to make use of an arsenal of firearms, blades, spells, apothecary items, and charms to develop their own playstyle to fight against the madness. Players can strike with a cavalry saber before dashing away to cast a spell, or they can equip a flame-imbued shotgun and a heavy mining pickaxe.
