The Next Major Expansion for Age of Wonders 4 is Coming Out November 7

Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios announced that the next major expansion for Age of Wonders 4 is officially releasing on November 7. Titled as "Empire & Ashes," it's set to be the largest content addition since the game originally launched. There's going to be a lot of new things for players to enjoy. It's being priced at $19.99. However, those who own the Premium Edition or have the Expansion Pass can immediately receive the expansion once it's out.

For this upcoming expansion, players can look forward to "flying" in the face of tradition. Through new techniques for example, they'll be able to combine steel and magic to come up with war machines that can lay wastes to enemy cities. There's the Reaver Culture which wants to push progress forward no matter what the cost. This is the same group that have managed to bind magic to technology and obtain unmatched power and dominance.

There's also a new victory mechanic known as Seals of Power. What players need to do is find and claim these seals to get access to the Astral Sea. They then need to control them long enough to achieve the victory.

Talking about this upcoming expansion, Triumph Studios Co-Founder and Age of Wonders 4 Director Lennart Sas revealed that the game has continued to evolve through ongoing development along with community feedback. He went on to say that to introduce new and different elements to the game, they added a new culture that helps shape new stories.

Other key features of the expansion include:
