The Next Update for Where Winds Meet Arrives this Friday

Everstone Studio today announced that Version 1.2 update for Where Winds Meet is releasing worldwide on January 9. The update adds to the game the Final Volume of Kaifeng and introduces the competitive Guild Battle Preseason. There's a new region to explore along with a puzzle cave.

Version 1.2 marks the final volume of Kaifeng. Players get to face their most formidable challenge yet and it's the Campaign Challenge boss known as Supreme Freedom. It's a confrontation that's more than a battle. In addition, this is also a journey through escalating clashes that force players to confront profound choices between personal belief, duty, and the inexorable pull of fate.

New Region

The upcoming update for Where Winds Meet also introduces the Nine Mortal Ways Camp and a new puzzle cave, which is the Mistveil Prison. The Nine Mortal Ways Camp is hidden in the Ghost Market beneath Kaifeng and serves as a gathering place for sect members having diverse personalities, full of intriguing encounters, secret treasures and bustling fun.

Preseason Tournament Begins

Version 1.2 marks the arrival of a large-scale and coordinated multiplayer combat with the launch of the Guild Battle Preseason. This preseason tournament features six intense matches, each one designed to test guild strategies and coordination. To allow for broader accessibility of guild members worldwide, guilds are going to be allocated to distinct Guild Regions based on their country or region. Each Guild Region launches its matches simultaneously according to its local time.

In a statement, the development team shared that the preseason is important for them to gather player feedback and with it refine the core mechanics of Guild Battle. The team went on to say that they're encouraging all guilds to rally their members and hone their tactics.

Where Winds Meet is an epic open-world action-adventure RPG that's rooted in the rich legacy of Wuxia. It is set during the turbulent era of tenth-century China and players take on the role of a young sword master as they uncover forgotten truths and the mysteries of their own identity.
