The Old Gods are Returning to Svarog’s Dream

A new expansion is coming out later this week to Svarog's Dream. Return of the Old Gods launches this January 10 and is set to introduce a lot of new content to the game.

According to stories, the Old Gods are shrouded in curses and have been painted with the brush of villainy. These Gods have been forsaken and lost to memory. In reality, they were silent sentinels and not only guided humanity to their current abode but even shielded them in their darkest hours. They now lie dormant in the shadows of oblivion and ready for their return.

This upcoming expansion focuses on the old gods and offers players the chance to push the story toward the light side with them. They can look forward to experiencing a new parallel path which has been added to the main quest. That means there's a new game ending, new side quests, and of course, interactions with the old gods. In a post, developer VI Game Forge shared that the new expansion is all about adding more combat while at the same time expanding on everything players "love in the core game."

Here are the other features of the expansion:

• Two new character classes.

• Devotion and relationship mechanics with gods.

• Faction Wars with the option to conquer the whole world with one of six factions.

• Over 30 new side quests.

• Over 60 new world events and an expanded world chaos system.

• Over 120 new items, including cursed gear, off-hand weapons, and more.

• Over 100 devotion shrines, adding more action to the game.

• New mechanics such as fishing, gardening, and traveling by cart.

• A more dynamic world with more roaming traders and beasts.

• Expanded crime and mercenary systems.

• First World dungeons.

• Headhunting quests, new enemy types, and new boss battles.

Svarog's Dream is set in a world where humans wage their wars on Earth while Gods clash against each other in the sky. All existence is bound by the threads of destiny with the exception of the players. The game gives players the absolute freedom to explore the world and make decisions for themselves.
