The first Major Update for Hades II is finally here. The Olympic update introduces a lot of new content to the game. For starters, there's the new Region which is none other than Olympus. It’s a place where even the gods themselves are asking for help.
Helping players are two new allies that they need to track down and hopefully earn their favor. There are also two new animals companions they can bond with, once they find them of course. The first one is Raki the Raven which is able to peck at enemies and make them vulnerable to Critical damage. The second is Hecuba the Hound which gives more Magick, stuns foes, and digs up useful items.
It helps that players can also get their hands on a new weapon which is none other than the last of the Nocturnal Arms known as Xinth, the Black Coat. It comes with its own three different unlockable and upgradeable Aspects.
What else did the new update add to the game? There's the expanded story where players can discover hours of new dialogue especially when they reach the new region. A new interface has been introduced as well when moving from one region to another. Finally, Crossroads Renewal lets players unlock different cosmetic items.
Changes to Features
Aside from the addition of new content, the new update also makes some interesting changes to the game features. The Main Menu in particular has been updated to reflect this latest change.
Updates have been made as well on how the contents of the are organized. These include updating the Aspects menu of each weapon resulting in the Underworld and Surface routes having progress split. Archived Trivia screen has been updated as well and allows for more at-a-glance data.
