2P Games and Bone Nail announced that The Piper of Dawn is coming soon to Steam. The game offers a genre-blending RPG, simulation, and visual novel experience.
The Piper of Dawn is a farming-alchemy simulation that weaves deep storytelling into gameplay as players embody an alchemist looking for fortune in a walled diamond city. They start their rise to fortune through alchemical mastery, herb cultivation, and workshop creation.
The game features farming, alchemy crafting, economic simulation, and branching visual novel storytelling. All of these are then combined into a unique narrative experience while at the same time carving out a uniquely strange and enchanting world of its own. This is also thanks to that distinct blend of dark whimsy, complex world-building, and surprising emotional depth.
The game has RPG, farming, and crafting mechanics. It allows players to get in touch with human and otherworldly creatures. They can get in touch with different factions and decide which groups to join and these have an impact on the story and Diamond city’s fate.
Bond with Companions
The Piper of Dawn has players navigate relationships with street dwellers, the Silver Key syndicate, and even goddess worshippers, to name a few. Their standing with these mysterious local factions determines the very survival of the players.
The characters that players can bond with include Elisabeth Liebig & Helena Wolfen. They're known as the "Twin Stars of the Sun Tavern." While this shared reputation obscures individual identity, the extended companionship shows vastly different personalities and moral frameworks.
Then there's the Goddess vs Witch whose sacred and forbidden powers demand exclusive loyalty. Take note that wielding both simultaneously remains impossible. Meanwhile, Gretel & Jimo Li are another excellent choice.
Hypnos is a fragile soul who dreams beneath Death's shadow and disturbing her rest invites catastrophe. There's also a lot more that include a sentient wish-granter, cosmic horror vessel, or merely an innocent soul cloaked in mystery.
