The latest update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has arrived. The Purgation Update brings with it a lot of free content.
One of these is the new Operation titled Purgation. It sees the Combat Squad Veridian trying to reclaim a Mechanicus facility in the Kadaku swamps. Making it challenging is that communication has been lost.
Other new content available include:
- Battle Simulator: A new customizable battle arena where players can practice and fight different enemies and their combinations. They can also try various weapons, equipment and loadouts.
- New Loadouts & Perk Swapping: Players can now switch perk loadouts alongside weapons during a session.
- Wargear 2.0: Expanded customization options allow each class to wear multiple wargear at once, such as capes, iron halos and sensor antennas.
- Trials of Resolve: New challenging Ordeals with unique rewards.
- Bolt Carbine One-Handed
- New secondary weapon for Assault and Bulwark.
- Pyreblaster Canister: A piece of equipment that functions like an incendiary grenade and requires to be shot to explode.
- Plasma Pistol: Relic Battle-Worn Plasma Pistol.
- Chainsword: White Scars Chainsword (Block).
- Power Axe: Encarmine Axe (Block).
Chapter Pack
Arriving alongside the new update is the Iron Hands Chapter Pack. This is the last of the First Founding loyalist Chapters to receive a DLC. It's available for free to all Season Pass 2 owners. The new pack contains a Techmarine Champion skin, an exclusive Omnissian Axe skin, and 4 unique, mechanical armour pieces honouring the warriors of the 10th Legion.
