The Sanctuary of Sarras Opens Up in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

The latest DLC for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is now available. Sanctuary of Sarras is actually the first expansion for the game. It offers a new storyline along with a new zone for everyone to explore.

The expansion has players enter the titular sanctuary. It's a realm that's been shaped by the deep sea and it's full of ancient structures and naval creatures. They'll need to follow the trail of Nimue as well as the deserters who challenged King Arthur. Players also have to piece together the truth on why they disappeared and Merlin’s horrible retribution.

Accessing the Sanctuary

To enter the Sanctuary of Sarras, obviously players need to have the expansion. Once that’s done, they need to have Cuanacht (act 2) unlocked. After that, it’s important to watch the cutscene that plays when entering Cuanacht city.

After that, place a campfire and talk to Black Annis. She should hand out a quest that leads to the Sarras Chapel dungeon in Cuanacht. Track the quest and go to the entrance of Sarras Chapel in southern Cuanacht, near the water.

New Content Available

The new expansion also introduces to the game a lot of new content. These include four boss fights, 12 regular enemies, and more than 20 dungeons and interiors. There are also around 100 items that include melee weapons, bows, armor, rings, amulets, relics, and spells. Overall, players can look forward to about 15 hours of new content.

Progression Changes

A new progression system has been added which changes the usual experience through Avalon. The underwater enemies for example scale to the level of the players. This results in making sure that each encounter remains tense. Meanwhile, sacred shrines activated by players weaken enemies and give players points to invest in three completely new and distinct skill trees. At any moment, they can choose which tree is active which results in reshaping the build on the fly to match the current needs.
